sumif function sum range

in Introduction to Excel / Populate the P&L Sheet with Sumif

in using sumif without fixing the sum range, wouldn't that lead to wrong calclations? if other revenues appeared in the first row in the data table, then without fixing the sum range that value will be excecluded from the sum

Hi,
In theory, yes, in this case we have to be careful not to fill in the rest of the sheet and keep the existing format the data has.
