Why are we using SUMIF to transfer data instead of using VLOOKUP?

Hi there,

It looks to me that we are transferring the amounts from the years 2016, 2017, and 2018 to the Database sheet. However, why are we not using vlookup to transfer this data?

Regards,

Mario

Cause, if there is no match, VLOOKUP returns #N/A. When using SUMIFS it return 0 where no match. So we can have information about sum of rows.
