Please also explain Logic/Reason behind the use/develop relationships. You just make relationship between Date and Ship Date. But there are nubmer of parameters in both lists. Why you choose only Date and Ship Date. Please explain that so that one can do it by himself in any other model rather than just copying the lecture. Regards,

Hi Asim, the logic behind the relationship depends on the context. Having a Calendar table (dim_date) is considered best practice in Power BI. This gives you the most options to develop Time Intelligence functions such as YTD, YoY, etc. We choose Ship Date because it is one of the available dates, we could have used Due Date, or any other date to make the relationship. With calendar tables you can only link them by calendar columns. With dimensions, you can only link them to dimensions.
