Error with IF function

in Introduction to Excel / Calculating Growth Rates in Excel

I was unable to get the function provided to work, but this one did

IFERROR(IF((D4-C4)/C4>1,"100%",IF((D4-C4)/C4<-1,"<-100%",TEXT((D4-C4)/C4,"0%"))),"N/A")
