the SUM() function in Excel

In the practice for this session, we need to use the sum function. The formula shows that it accepts more than one number. However, we can sum up all three numbers required in the practice, just by using the 'number1' field as a range. What is the difference between using a range and inserting every single cell we want to sum?

Thanks

Hi Stefano,
There isn't a difference. However, typically you would want to use a range because it allows you to select cells so much faster.
