Resolved: Difference between Power BI Report builder and Power BI desktop
My company has power BI Report Builder installed. Is that the same as Power BI desktop. Because its not allowing me to download any software from outside sources?

Unfortunately, no. Power BI Report Builder is a separate tool which is aimed at Paginated Reports, it does not allow for Data Modelling, DAX calculations or interactive visuals. The idea behind Report Builder is to provide snapshots of the current state of the data to its stakeholders, whilst Power BI Desktop is an interactive reporting solution that allows for rich data modelling and building complex formulas for data analysis.
