Applied steps not in order

My applied steps are not shown in the order. They are coming above the changed type and in random manner. Is there any setting to get the correct step order?
Thanks

As per my understanding before you make any changes you need to return back to the latest step in the applied steps else the changes will be applied to the selected step and it reflect it under the selected step.

eg: you have 5 steps and your active selection is step 3 ; you made a change to the data (which is supposed to be step 6 and reflect under step5) this change will reflect between step 3 and step 4 . so before make any changes you must click on step 5 in the applied steps before making any change.
