Understanding named ranges

What is the point of naming the range? When can this be helpful?

I personally don't like to name ranges and don't think this is very useful. However, I've seen people who work with files for a long time and who want to name their ranges to be faster when writing a formula and to be able to read formulas better. It really depends on personal preferences.
