Resolved: Paid-in-Capital

Paid-in-Capital can be also named as (Capital) ?? Or it is the amount paid from Owners and Stakeholders to establish the Firm ?? thanks in advance .

Hi, 


Total capital comprises paid-in capital, common stock, preferred shares, etc. 

So, paid-in capital is just part of Total Capital.


In simple terms, paid-in capital is the dollar amount of cash invested in the company.
