Hi Akua,

Confidence interval interpretation depends on the variable it measures. Consider the exercise file in this lesson. We have drawn a sample of people who have undertaken the 12-week exercise program to lose weight. When you calculate the confidence interval, with a 95% confidence level, you can make an inference based on that sample about how many pounds or kilograms a particular subject outside of this sample is expected to lose if he or she sticks strictly to this exercise program. The 95% confidence interval in this example will be [-11.31, -6.86] in kilograms. This will be interpreted as follows: we are 95% confident that anyone in the population who sticks strictly to our exercise program will lose between 11.31 and 6.86 kilograms.

I hope it makes sense now.

Kind regards,
Kyrillos
