Question 1 , confused about the answer and need to understand it clearly

Hi teacher , for q1 could u explain why it's sample not population , all classmates asked not subset of them so why the right answer is sample

I think the answer is a sample, because it is possible that there are classmates who were not asked because they are absent from school for any reason such as illness, travel abroad or because they are studying remotely.

Read Question Carefully,Although principal asked him to conduct survey for all school students but he only took survey from classmates.So he ended up with sample not population

Hi Basma .. It is only sample ... because you did not ask ALL YOUR GROUP OF INTEREST ...if you asked all STUDENTS .. and did not leave one .. that is population .... you can not do that .. so you only chose ... some ... may be BIG sample .. may be small sample ..great .. but at the end it is not ALL people of your interest .. not ALL student ... if your sample is bigger and more random it will give you result that is near the real world population ... it means your SAMPLE will give you STATISTICS near what the real Parameters of POPULATION ..
