t-statistic formula

Hi, are we supposed to get unity standard deviation (~N(0,1)) like standard normal distribution of z-statistic when we transform the samples to t-statistic using the formula (x-u) / standard error.

Yes, All of these t-values / z-values are relavant with respect to their standardised distribution. the transform of (x_i - x_bar) / std.error takes us from a general distribution to the t distribution. (x_i is value of data point, x_bar is the sample mean)
