Estimator and Estimates
Hello, Can you give an example of an estimator? Wanted to understand the difference between estimator and estimate.

Hi according to me estimators are like functions and estimates are a value (numerical/categorical) for a sample mean would be an estimator while the value of the sample mean would be an estimate for the population mean
Hi there, the sample mean itself is the estimator (i.e. the concept of the sample mean), but the value of the sample mean is the estimator
