Doubts in Types and Level of measurement

A few months back did a Python Course from Coursera offered by Michigan University which states that Quantitative and Categoric are two types with sub types as follows
Categorical(or Qualitative) :
1 Ordinal
2 Nominal

Quantitative :
1. Continuous
2. Discrete

explanation and everything almost same just types of data are sub-part of the level of measurements
