confused about the acceptance
although the instructor said if the p value > alpha we accept the null , the p value was 0.038 and the alpha was 0.05 and yet in the solution is still accepted while the 0.01 is rejected and the 0.1 accepted too

You may be switching the < / > signs. When the p-value is less than the significance level, the null hypothesis is rejected and viceversa. Let me know if this doesn't help so I can keep assisting you.
