# MID – Excel Template

MID returns a specified number of characters from the middle of a text strings. The user indicates how many characters, and which is the starting character from where to extract the specified number of characters. MID is similar to the LEFT function. The main difference, though, is that the user can decide which character of the word she wants to start from.
