Using Direct Query on A Real Industry Project?

Dear Lecturer,

If I am doing a real project that needs to access my client databaset, we must choose the Direct Query option, is that right?

Also, can you please talk about how we can optimize the power bi loading speed when we dealing with a large data source?

Hi Yoson,
DirectQuery will give you limited options with Data Modelling and you won't be able to use all DAX features. Use it only if your data is in the excess of 1 billion rows. Loading speed can be optimized by aggregating data on the database level.
