i want to ask question is side-by-side graph is used for categorical data with two variables but side-by-side graph include numbers that are inside crosstable so how side-by-side represent categorical data ?

side by side graph in example represent frequency for categorical data
as in example shown you have 3 categories (stocks, bonds and real estate) and their frequencies
