Resolved: Scatter plot in exercise
In the solution to the exercise there are two scatter plots. Are they both necessary when we are dealing with covariance, or this was just an example to show the data depending on which column (writing or reading) is presented on which axis?

Hi Milica,
thanks for reaching out! I believe in this instance, the goal is to simply show that there is covariance between the two variables, and not look into for example which variable informs which. So, I don't believe the two are necessary, but are as you corectly say for illustrative purposes in this concrete example.
Let me know if you have any other questions on the statistics course, or any other.
