Resolved: exam to get the certificate

365 Data Science offers 3 types of exams: practice exams, course exams, and final exams.  

Here is the exam retake policy related to each one of them: 

Practice Exams – Whether or not you watch the relevant video content, you may retake such an exam as many times as you want without any restrictions.  

Course Exams – Please note that you are not required to watch all course lessons before your first attempt. Whether you pass or fail, however, you must watch at least 30 minutes of course-specific video content every time you wish to retake a course exam. This means that if you have already passed a course exam but simply want to improve your best score, you must also watch 30 minutes of course-specific video content to unlock it for a retake. Since we have your best interests at heart, we allow you to retake a course exam an unlimited number of times. 

Final Exams – If you score below 60% (fail) on your first attempt, you may retake the exam. You must watch at least 30 minutes of video content from any of the 7 required courses and 2 electives prior to retaking the final exam. This is how you unlock it for a second attempt. If you fail again, however, the final exam will remain locked for a period of 3 months (originally 6 months) before the platform allows for another retake. We believe our extensive course materials lay a solid foundation of knowledge, so we currently have no score improvement option for final exams – once you pass a final exam (60% or above), your score becomes unchangeable. So, make sure you feel confident enough in your skills before clicking on the “Start Exam” button!

When we have take exam is it compulsory to take after the completion of videos or is it our wish to take exam at any time

Although it is not necessary to have marked all your lectures as complere in order to enroll in the course exam, we suggest you first go through the course content before attempting to take the exam.

The reason for this is because you will need to finish the exam with at least 60% success rate, in order to successfully pass the course exam and receive a certificate! If you fail the exam and mark below 60% success rate, you will be required to complete at least 30 minutes of video watchtime for the relevant course before the system allows you to retake the exam again.

This requirement we believe is necessary, as we hope you can prepare better for the exam by revisiting any missed material from the course contents.
